This specification is approved for use by all Departments
and Agencies of the Department of Defense
1. SCOPE.
1. Scope. This specification covers general requirements for covers intended
to protect the following aircraft parts:
Fuselage
Canopy
Cockpit
Armament
Engine
Propeller or Rotor
Miscellaneous
1.2 Classification.
Covers shall be of the following types, as specified
(see 6.2):
Type I -
Waterproof Fabric Material (see 3.3.1.1)
Type II - Coated Material (see 3.3.1.2)
