3.6,4 Faying Surfaces, All faying surfaces (non-welded) shall be assembled wet
using a corrosion inhibiting sealant as specified in MIL-S-81733.
3.7 Markings.
3.7.1 Data Plates. The manufacturers standard name plates and data plates will
be acceptable but shall be permanently attached to the maintenance platform, The
contract number, serial number, part number and other pertinent Information shall be
shown on the plates.
3.7.2 Identification of Product, Equipment, assembles , and parts shall be
marked for identification in accordance with MIL-STD-130.
3.8 Workmanship.
3.8.1 The maintenance platform, including all parts and accessories, shall be
constructed and finished in a thorough, workmanship manner. Particular attention
shall be given to neatness, thoroughness of painting, welding brazing, machine
screw assembles, and freedom of parts from burrs and sharp edges,
3,8.2 All welded joints shall be free from cracks, injurious porosity, and oxide

3,8.3 The maintenance platform shall be thoroughly cleaned of loose, spattered,
excess solder and weld, metal chips, and other foreign materials. After final
assembly, burrs, sharp edges, and weld slag that may crumble shall be removed.
3,9 System Safety, A system safety program shall be initiated by the contractor
in accordance with MIL-STD-882. Hazard analysis reports shall be provided.
4.
QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS
4,1 Resposibility for Inspect Ion. Unless otherwise specified in the contract or
purchase order, the supplier is responsible for the performance of all inspection
requirements as specified herein with the exception of USAF portion of testing
specified in 4.6.6, Except as otherwise specified in the contract or order, the
supplier may use his own or any other facilities suitable for the performance of the
inspection requirements specified herein, unless disapproved by the Government, The
Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspections get forth herein
where such inspections are deemed necessary to assure supplies and service conform
to prescribed requirement,
4.2 Classification of Tests. The inspection and testing of the maintenance
platform shall be classified as follows:
a.
Preproduction tests.
b.
Quality conformance tests.
4.3 Test Conditions, Unless otherwise specified herein, tests shall be performed
under normal ambient room temperature and atmospheric conditions.
